Horrific Pigeon Scenes/Turnham Green Railway Bridge

I know pigeons are pests but was horrified to see, yesterday, that wire mesh installed under Turnham Green's railway bridge has trapped live chicks behind it while adult birds are desperately trying to feed them. By the corpses stuck to some of these compartments it seems some have died in the attempt.Tony Bull, Principle Animal Control Officer of LB Hounslow, says this has not been done by the Borough, but probably by a TfL contractor.  Unfortunately TfL's generic contact form is aimed at the travelling public, not those concerned by inhumane pest control or other matters.Can anyone think of a better way to contact TfL's pest control people?

I’m heartbroken to read this post, trapping and causing suffering to any animal is illegal in the UK, this cruelty is breaking the law.Many councils have and or tfl are using contractors who ignore the law.It’s cruel, indefensible and illegal.Thank you for writing this difficult post.Yes, I second the recommendation of London Wildlife protection

If there are still trapped or injured pigeons, please contact London Wildlife Protection https://www.londonwildlifeprotection.org/They are a volunteer-run organisation, and endeavour to provide a rescue service when possible for all trapped, injured, sick or orphaned birds, and also for eggs and nests.

I walked under the bridge about an hour ago and didn't see any evidence of pigeons in distress. I did notice that about a third a way up on the western side, the metal tube that seemed designed to provide a seal to the grill had be bent away from the wall to great a gap so perhaps action has already been taken.

Sometimes with companies if you don't choose an option after being prompted a few times the call is picked up  by a person,like in the old days.Best of luck.
