C9 as an avenue of protest, cleve

EVERYBODY has to take responsibility and to take care. To suggest that it is always cyclists or always pedestrians or always motor vehicles is ridiculous.Changes can take getting used to and warning people about them is a perfectly pragmatic and logical step to take.

Yep. It will only take one moronic cyclist to kill a bus passenger crossing the ill conceived cycle track.

You could say the same about "Mind the Gap" announcements on the Tube.

Schrodinger’s cycle lane is back. Too dangerous to cross and devoid of cyclists. At the same time!

When arriving at a destination when travelling with Uber anywhere near a cycle lane the app gives a warning to take careThis is of course because of cyclists who will not stop or take care themselves under any circumstancesLuckily there are so few cyclists who use the cycle lanes so a small blessing despite the complete waste of money

Which is evidence enough that the cycle lanes are a hazard / are dangerous for bus passengers.

Last time I was on a 267 on CHR I'm sure there was an announcement to take care when alighting due to the cycle lanes.
"The next stop is XXXXXX, you will alight at a poorly planned, potentially dangerous island bus stop. Please exercise extreme caution. You may also like to write to TfL and tell them that you do not feel safe".

About time the buses started playing ‘mind the gap’ type warnings for passengers alighting buses next to the badly designed cycle lanes. ‘Mind the speeding cycling morons’ would be appropriate!
Ah, Mr.Photo Opportunity himself. Let's see if he is any more effective then when a hightly remunerated LB Ealing cabinet member.

Bus drivers can play a warning about the nearness of a cycle lane when approaching a bus stop. Are they doing this?Or perhaps this is a new and changed situation - in which case TfL need to be reminded to update their instructions to drivers. Of course this is not a lot of help if one is deaf or doesn't listen... but better than no warning at all.Who is the new (I think new) Assembly Member on the GLA for Hounslow & Richmond? The new AM for Ealing & Hillingdon is Bassam Mahfouz who is on the Transport Committee. Bassam Mahfouz has recently spoken about Turnham Green Tube Station being on the list for step free access as work to make more stations accessible progresses - see cw4.com article below.https://www.chiswickw4.com/default.asp?section=info&page=contube083.htmhttps://www.london.gov.uk/programmes-strategies/transport/improving-londons-roads/investing-accessible-transport-network#accessibility-improvements-so-far-28143-title

An accident waiting to happen?
Steve Taylor ● 104d
As one alights a bus at the "Victoria Steps" stop (that's westwards ... one stop after Kew Bridge) passengers risk an accident as the cycle path is just HALF A METRE from the bus's exit door.A crazy situation. This is an alert for any watching Councillors.

So finally a cycle lane has been used by a few cyclists called upon by social media. No doubt it is today void of any cyclists again.
They rode past my house this morning. At least 200 bikes. The weather stayed dry and I wished them well as I knew a couple of the riders.
