If you can find it online (it pops up regularly) then I can heartilly recommend “SUBURBAN STEPS TO ROCKLAND” – The Story of The Ealing Club.This chronicles the 'club down the steps' where John Mayall was a regular and The Who and The Rolling Stones played some of their very first gigs.https://www.62films.com/

Without him and his proteges the Ealing Club would have failed in its early days and we may well have had no Rolling Stones, Cream,  Who, Yardbirds, Pretty Things, Fleetwood Mac and Free as exposure at Ealing was pivotal in their early careers.Thank you for your legacy Mr. Mayall, may you rest in peace.Condolences to your family and friends,

You probably did, Paul.  It was the 60s so if you can remember it you weren’t there!  I can’t remember seeing him either - nor Steppenwolf, Greatful Dead, Captain Beefheart etc etc …

Alas another from that great generation taken from us.Don't remember seeing his band but hell it was the 60's/ 70's so I might have seen him at a gig.

Indeed. I saw him perform around 1971 when I think Harvey Mandel was his lead guitarist - Mayall was already a legend and while it was not really my sort of music it was an excellent gig.
