Chiswick Medical Practice -Worst  practice merger ever ?

Since Grove Park Surgery, Wellesley Rd practice and the Chiswick Family Doctors Practice services have merged - it has got to be the worst serviced GP practice in Chiswick ?Patients are now subjected to  a rotation of unfamiliar inept receptionists, extended waiting times  (unless you want to have botox/or fillers privately- you can be accommodated very quickly apparently ! ), a host of part time GPs /locums, an overfilled car park ( Grove Park) that makes it difficult to navigate to the surgery door. if that's not bad enough you also need a degree in computer science to make an appointment via their clinic system ! Surely an amalgamation of these surgeries was  designed to improve access to services and not make a bad situation worse ? Shame on you Chiswick Medical Practice ( did you even get planning permission for the new  signage ?)

I’ve seen this today and at least we have drs and the practice near us in Grove Park - for the elderly this is so important- just hope it continues.

Frances - that s a significant data breach and should be reported as such. The Practice should also have self-referred - it might be worth asking if it has sone so.

When i asked for a copy of my blood results , I received somebody else's and had to alert the practice by going around in person as otherwise I was in queue position 18 to report their error !

Yes dr. Seth is great and it would be good to know if he is still there - dr hunt was great too but she left… I just wonder how she feels now.

Haven't seen Dr Seth for ages, but yes he is very nice and good. Dr Hunt was great too. I think I've seen a different doctor every time I've been for several years now, usually a locum or a temp.

I challenge you to walk in and take a seat in the waiting room this week - it's  been far from good with patients waiting over an hour to be seen....disorganised chaos !

I have been with Chiswick Family Doctors practice for about 40 years (most of the time I was living in Chiswick) and was allowed to stay with them when I moved here a dozen years ago

Hello Guy. As a Brentford resident ... do you have a Brentford GP?Or, have you found a Chiswick GP who offers his talents to a wider catchment area ... ie a W4 GP who takes on TW8 residents?

My experience mostly positive, though the receptionist I like best seems to have disappeared and the new ones need training/experience to match the previous excellence

I never thought the system would work but although the Klinik form could perhaps be designed a bit better,I have been proved wrong. Each time I've used it I've been phoned back promptly  and when required seen on the same day. Phoning Grove Park is another matter. I can usually cycle to and from the surgery whilst on hold!

I a with the other practices that went together and I am very happy.  My enquiries by email are answered on the day by email if not urgent or by a doctor if urgent.  I get all my repeat prescriptions without a single piece of paper changing hands and all of the staff are fabulous. As a friend of someone with your new amalgamation and having spent 24 years listening to her talk about her GP and being bloody horrified at the level of negligence  I can honestly say if you put 2 good eggs with one rotten to the core one no one is eating the omelette

That’s the big issue, there should not be long frustrating times on the telephone. Phoning  to ask for assistance should be as efficient as Klinik is for the tech savvy . And I do use Klinik successfully. The trouble is I think is that if you phone the receptionist sometimes has to fill in a Klinik form for you so is not answering calls.  Long frustrating waits. I think we’ve all held on for 20 minutes on occasion , not sure if anyone will answer.  Better  phone technology  and call directing would help

I find that the new system is working really well. It's vastly easier to get appointments now. That's definitely progress.

Up until now for me it was ok. I like the Klinik system. However I need to check something with them because I had two hospital referrals last week and the results have been sent to a doctor in Grove Park and not to my usual doctor in Stamford Brook. They have also sent me for a routine appointment to Grove Park next week, and when I login onto that System online it says Grove Park under my surgery and no Stamford Brook like it did before. I hope they have not transferred  me to Grove Park, that surgery is too far for me

It's not the simplest thing to use but since the introduction of the Klinik system I have made 2 appointments and been seen within hours.This saves a lot of frustrating time spent on the telephone waiting to get through and then being offered appointments weeks in the future.On balance I approve but then I am a retired IT professional.
