I'm sorry to hear about your father Michael but it isn't just the pandemic and any anti-Covid jab which has caused these problems.  This was an expected sometime pandemic not adequately prepared for during a time of increased cost cutting and risk taking.  Your father was most unlucky that he was in hospital at the time.  Many medical workers also caught Covid because they did not have good enough protective equipment, were working in confined space and were learning how best to deal with the situation as they went.  For instance at the start it was thought that those with and without Covid could be kept in separate wards - only then to find that it was not possible to tell who had it and who did not and there was no testing.  Some people were asymptomatic. There were scandals long before this episode with the way in which and how people were being put onto end of life care (LCP) with no or not enough discussion with their families as to how they were being cared for.  Drinks and food out of reach, drinks too hot and then when next seen too cold or no time left and being cleared away. (Outsourced services.)  Sandwiches served in boxes that were impossible to access etc etc.  No help getting people back eating with suitable food or help walking - usually relearnt going to the loo.  Just not enough staff on wards to turn bedbound people on their beds regularly (two needed) so that they got bedsores which are pretty impossible to get rid of - Therefore Make Sure You Don't Get Them!  Also not enough special air mattresses. However many people cannot afford to pay for their care and many still don't seeem to have realised that care is not free when you leave hospital - and that is if you can find it having not been nursed enough to be fit enough to look after oneself on discharge.  This is another great stress to relations.
