Ealing Council loses Victoria Hall legal challenge
Good news for residents who want to see this hall reopened for public use, though bad news for council tax payers who foot the c£680,000 legal costs. It’s likely the hotel scheme won’t go ahead now as the Victoria Hall was an integral part of the plan. On the bright side for developers Mastcraft is a pending indemnity payout of £350,000 from LBE , agreed before the plans even went to the planning committee. An indemnity funded by taxpayers of course.http://www.ealingtoday.co.uk/default.asp?section=info&page=eavictoriahall017.htm
