My Place cafe

Seeing a new cafe, I decided to stop for a coffee. My small black coffee cost £3.26. I'm surprised it's so expensive. Is that the most expensive black coffee in Chiswick?

The days of restaurants being able to survive on paying minimum wage are long behind us, and the cost of produce - as we all know - has rocketed. The staff now call the shots and say how much they will work for, not the other way around. Somebody has to pay, hence the £3+ coffee.

Up until about six months ago I had a policy of never paying more than £3 for a coffee in a cafe. I've had to give up as it was becoming impractical.

Had the burger in there earlier this week which tasted far better than it looked. The drains played no part in proceedings.

Have been a few times, wouldn’t say it’s more expensive that other places in Chiswick? The owner is very friendly and food good too.

We sat in the other week awful smell.We asked what going on seems when it rains  the drains block landlord has been told.We left with takeaway coffees yes they are expensive.

Sounds like they have simply used their Soho prices. Be grateful you didn't have an orange juice. Pennies short of a fiver!How was the coffee?
