Went to get my bahn mi at lunch-time, there was a closed sign on the door, and it looks empty inside. Anyone know what's happened, or where they've gone? I will really miss them!

Thanks, Joe. I'm glad they're relocating as opposed to just shutting. But what a shame they can't get enough custom in Chiswick any more for it to be a viable option. A sad loss.

Really sad to hear this. I agree about the banh mi - the duck one was my favourite lunchtime snack in Chiswick. It would be interesting to hear more details behind the move but talking to another retailer footfall has fallen on the south side of the street making it more difficult to survive there. The markets seem to help a bit but not enough to compensate. I don't say this as a C9 bashing point because overall footfall will remain the same it will just tend more to stay on the north side. The likely outcome is that a delivery app enabled food business will take over the site. The number of bikes (motorised or not) outside Chipotle and Five Guys suggest there is ample demand in the area.

But you are right. It's a loss for Chiswick but I'm glad they're doing well.

Well I'm hoping to see another coffee shop! We are sorely missing out on coffee shops in Chiswick.

That’s a loss for W4. And their Bahn Mi is - in my opinion - better than the ones in Hammersmith.

Hi. I spoke to the young guy who used to work the counter at NGON. He was standing outside as the building was being cleared. He told me they are moving to a much better location underneath the VUE in Shepherds Bush which I think is where all the buses stop. He said it was a bigger place with more passing trade and he seemed very positive about the move. He also confirmed that the Vietnamese place in Hammersmith Broadway centre is their sister restaurant. I too will miss NGON in Chiswick.
