Nice Sunday roast

Anyone been local for a nice Sunday roast lately??

Sunday's you relax more so eat more I suppose.

No, you can have too much of a good thing, just sometimes I really fancy aroast dinner.

If a roast is such a great meal then it’s good for any day of the week. I associate from childhood with laying the tablecloth, feeling full, traipsing upstairs to do homework (should have done it earlier). And then the complete death of the weekend when Songs of Praise started up.

What does one call a good sunday roastIf my beef is not pink with some blood juices coming from the bottom then in my view its been cremated and not how beef should be served.

Agree Chris, the potatoes are often undercooked or they use the wrongpotatoes.

The Swan is good. The trouble with Sunday roasts in pubs is the pervasive aroma of the Sunday lunch itself which puts me off. Personally, I would prefer a restaurant on a Sunday.  Or even better prepare  a roast at home.

For a roast in Chiswick, I don't think you can beat The Swan. You'll likely need to book though as it can get busy. My main problem with many pub roasts is the pototos, which rarely cut it in my opinion, but the Swan's have always been up to scratch.

The Lamb was my last (& very good) one.Duke of Sussex was very average on another Sunday visit - although appreciate most places can be hit & miss this day of the week.

The Holland in Kensington is worth the trip. Local offerings are all quite disappointing.

I'd be interested in this too. We have some friends coming over this Sunday and are planning to go to the Duke of Sussex (happy with it, very local etc), unless someone can recommend somewhere exceptional elsewhere.
