Tom, I think we know that. Simon is making a point that if you want to reduce car use you need to provide good alternatives. That includes affordability, where we already have the most expensive public transport in Europe, reliable routes, and also accessibility. So one single tube station in W4 that has accessible access would be good. That is where the average person struggles with your single issue obsession. Most of us accept the need to lower congestion and pollution, but dont believe cycling alone will ever address that. Any solutions need to be joined up and not driven by a single goal that may at times conflict with broader objectives.
