The "King Edward VII" pillar box at Kew Bridge Station.
This 120 year old (?) Royal Mail red posting box has seemingly been taken out of service. It currently still stands outside Kew Bridge Station,TW8 but within a Chiswick Ward with it's posting aperture sealed with a piece of wood. It's ignored by nearly everyone... who have, perhaps, no idea of it's significance.King Edward the 7th did indeed open the 3rd Kew Bridge in 1903 and so the King Edward VII insignia on the box is revelant. It ought to be saved although many will not know why
