Thank you, John.In this case, the Traffic Management Order* which introduced the Staveley Road "School Street" restriction is quite clear in section 2:“prohibited hours” means between 8am and 9am, and between 2.45pm and 3.45pm, on Mondays to Fridays during school term time.“school term time” means those days of the year which have been determined as school days by the Council as Local Education AuthorityIf you look at Hounslow's web page on school term dates, it lists the autumn half-term as 25 - 29 October inclusive. But is also says that "Not all schools follow the term dates below. Governors of academies ... set their own dates. For term dates for an individual school, we recommend you contact the school directly."Chiswick School, which is a Secondary Academy, lists its autumn half-term at 18 - 29 October, which includes the date when Jim Currie received his PCN. He should therefore challenge the PCN on the grounds that the TMO authorises the restriction only during school term time.* Can be downloaded from https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/downloads/file/2862/chiswick_area_school_streets_-_tmoe02620Other relevant references:https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/info/20025/schools_and_colleges/1462/school_term_dates/2https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/directory_record/757/chiswick_schoolhttps://www.chiswickschool.org/408/term-datesJim: If you need any help in phrasing the challenge, please send me a PM, quoting the PCN number and your vehicle number.
