ULEZ from 25 Dec 2025

Is it true that everyone (including electric vehicles) will have to pay the charge from Christmas Day 2025?  If so, the cycle Lane will be very busy!

I think hybrid-electric vehicles that are exempt loose that exemption from that date. Not sure about the cycle lane but more the lack of chaging points given the high number of  hybrids

At the moment PHEV's don't pay the Congestion charge, centrk London, or the ULEZ ,central and inner London. The Congestion Charge Exemption will be removed from 25 December 2025, not the ULEZ exemption. Better cycle lanes in London that many places.

It has to all change - the reduced revenue from petrol duty has to come from somewhere and I don't know of any compelling reasons to reduce the total amount of duty that the majority of able bodied drivers contribute towards the exchequer, and if there wasn't a congestion charge parts of London would be gridlocked a lot of the time.

Useful to know, I thought the charge exemption was due to end this year. Another four years of no congestion charge for fully electric vehicles could be the decider for some people. But I think hybrids had to pay since the expanded ULEZ came into force.
