"If in doubt check with the manufacturer who should issue you a certificate with the original emissions quoted."You don't need to do this.1) The ULEZ checker references the DVLC database when checking.2) If you want to check yourself, go to page 2 of your vehicle's V5 document. Near the bottom you will see 3 entries... for NOx, CO and HC.Type "Euro level definitions" into your favourite search engine. You will get a number of hits. Go to the one for the AA. (It's the easiest to understand).Scroll down until you reach the definitions for petrol or diesel (depending on your vehicle) for Euro level 4 as this is the level engines are meant to achieve. Compare these as appropriate to the entries on the V5 document. (I think that some entries may be defined as "parts per million" and others as "parts per hundred thousand". So, don't panic unnecessarily). Please note that some car manufacturers such as BMW, Mercedes, most Fords etc. will have had compliant engines installed in their cars prior to 2006 for petrol engines and 2015 for diesel engines, though the start year will, of course, vary with manufacturer.
