Ambulance Station Reprieve

Great news Chiswick Ambulance Station has a new life line. But the question that should be asked: how much money was wasted on consultants; planning; executing strategies and finally, the very welcomed reverse decision to keep the station?

I suspect that this was a management wheeze and that no-one even bothered to ask the front line crews what their view was - well - why would you? Similarly it is suspected that the LAS view on the bonkers cycle lane and nearby LTNs on Twickenham Rd. by West Middx. Hospital was never extended to the crews having to cope with all this on a daily basis.

I agree with you. It’s always the front line that gets to hear the whistle last. My admiration to those first responders they do a magnificent job and should be respected from the highest level.

There was not a mention that the Chiswick Ambulance Station is located in the Hammersmith and Fulham Borough next door!.

There was talk of combining Ambulance Stations with Fire Stations.

Chris that assumes the Fire station remains open. Boris Johnson initiated a programme of closures when he was Mayor but Chiswick survived. As much of this is financially driven facilities in areas with high property values are much more likely to be deemed operationally necessary be they fire stations, police stations, ambulance stations and doctor's surgeries.
