I was in Pret in Piccadilly this morning when some people met up and all started shaking hands with each other. Looked plain weird.

It's very weird when someone reaches out to shake your hand these days, and a little awkward as you recoil your own arm at 150mph.

Otoh, at least we're being spared that relatively recent import from the Continent, the double (triple?) Mwah Mwah peck on the cheeks that "cool" people used to try to inflict on this country.I'm pro-Europeam, indeed internationalist, but some foreign ideas are just too much!

With Covid restrictions lifting can we expect the early return of the cheek lick, the kunik and the bot frot?  Especially on the CHR on Saturday mornings.  Mmm!
