Shelf watch shortages

My carers who visit supermarkets all over W4 and beyond tell me there are now a lot of empty shelves and their clients are having to do without.  Can we start a shelf watch thread where people can post what is missing or back in any of the local shops this way people will not be making wasted journeys.  And those of us with carers will be able to arrange a different shop.

Are some of the empty shelves usually filled with things we can do without anyway like chocolate, silly sugary cereals and marmite?

Wait until 1/10/21 when imports will become as difficult as exports have been. Then 1/1/22 when things are projected to tighten further. It's quite complicated so look it up on google. It's not project fear its facts.

Co op opposite Chiswick station was looking very sorry for itself, but this was apparently due to people stocking up (or "pre-loading" as I believe today's youth say) before Pub in the Park.Also, Price's candles were sold out on Waitrose Online but that's probably one for a First World/Middle Class Problems thread.

Are toilet roll shelves emptying again do any folks know? Just asking as i't a good idea to have torn squares of newsprint prepared and stuck on a meathook like we used to have in our outside karzie when I was a kiddie of the 40s an' 50s.

Re my post about 1/10/21. It has even surprised me. M & S have announced that from 1/10/21 there may be even more empty shelves as the health officials that sign the food certificates only work Mon-Fri. Good point about toilet rolls on the last post.

Just got back from Waitrose and yes a very few gaps on their shelves but overall well stocked with food, household/cleaning items and drinks.As far as the festive season is concerned and the predicted fresh food shortages just needs a bit of forward planning. I've just finished planting up my winter cropping potatoes as well as preparing and freezing the glut of Runner and French beans I've had this year. That just leaves the beef or turkey to buy and I'm sure that won't be a problem 🤞I can't help but wonder how we would've coped when there was rationing ?

No shortage of anything,just that certain products are not being replenished as quick or often as before  which can result in a empty shelve but normally gets refilled in a few days,more a logistics issue.Not sure its a huge problem as most shelves are pretty full in the aisles, and no,plenty of toilet paper and myself think we have no panic buying in place on any products,just some empty shelves on a few products for a day or two
