The concept of car-free development of flats always amuses. It makes me wonder about the number of Uber trips made. How old is the service? So shouldn't be too hard to determine. So while there may be less private car use, car hire use has soared. An offset, not an evaporation as we're being led to believe. And rather than have the owner of a flat drive into the building to park, you will have multiple Ubers idling on the street outside the building (or, let's be honest, they idle wherever whenever) clogging streets and creating traffic. Ditto home deliveries.
