I took my daughter for her first vaccine 4 weeks ago today at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre - all good. The nurse/doctor who jabbed her wrote on the leaflet they give her (I was there too and saw her write it down) that she had to come back for the 2nd dose between 3 - 12 weeks - but since then and contrary to the advice we were given - they have now bumped the timeframe between jabs to 8 weeks. We returned to Fountain Leisure this afternoon and they refused to give my daughter the jab - even though it was more or less empty in the hall. On the back of the information we were given 4 weeks ago, we booked a holiday for my daughter with her friend thinking she'd be fully vaccinated and not have to quarantine on her return from overseas, plus one week later we were due to go on holiday as a family overseas again. The information we were given has now completely ruined all plans, plans we would not have made due to the restrictions in place and her not being able to quarantine. The guards on the door at Brentford refused to let her in, even though we had the dates written on the leaflet from the very place she got her first jab. I am beyond annoyed. In the US, the very same Pfizer vaccine is given with a 3 week delay - is there something in our vaccine that is different from the US one that means she can't have it 4 weeks later now?
