16 and 17 yr olds vaccine

Apparently there was a walk in covid vaccination session at Chiswick medical centre yesterday for 16 and 17 year olds.  I would really appreciate if someone could let me know if this is being repeated.  Thank you.

Will do. Also Jade pharmacy in Heston - there are two of them - offering walking for 16 plus. I believe they do throughout the week. Take NHS number, proof of ID and GP details just to speed up everything. Also make sure your teen has eaten and preferable has an energy drink (eg Lucozade) to drink just before getting the jab as this drastically cuts down any episodes of fainting, especially in warmer weather. Hope this info helps.Hammersmith Hospital on Du Cane Rd were also offering walk in for 16 plus yesterday. Might also be worth calling Chiswick Health centre when they open tomorrow as they had spare vaccines left yesterday which will go to waste if not used up. Don’t bother speaking to reception (as they won’t know) but ask for the clinic management office telephone number. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. Lots of useful information.

Yes, Boris bought enough for everyone.

Janice, Just because you repeat something it does not make it true.  The slow down in vaccinations in the UK is a supply problem. It’s not where you start , it’s where you finish and it’s not a competition anyway. The French are offering vaccinations to everyone over the age of 12. Our infection rate is sky high as Johnson did not stop flights from India. We are the most infectious country in the world. And now he has decided, against advice, to lift all restrictions from tomorrow knowing that people will die.

You will have your daily dig whatever and it don't make it true either.

Janice Evans ● 1926d

It don’t, do it?

Stewart Jones ● 1926d

Facts are facts, love it or hate it.

Janice Evans ● 1926d

You ignore facts. People will die because of the lifting of restrictions tomorrow. That is a fact,

Stewart Jones ● 1926d

You come across as an ungrateful person, you don't have to followGovernment advice, do what you have been doing and stay safe.

Janice Evans ● 1926d

Not ungrateful . And actually I’ve paid for this and am happy to do so. Your unswerving loyalty to a man who lies and whose policies hand resulted in many deaths is bizarre and sounds very North Korean.

Stewart Jones ● 1926d

😆 sad as you are.

Janice Evans ● 1926d

I'm grateful we had Boris during this pandemic.

Janice Evans ● 1926d

You are just anti Tory, I'm not anti anyone and give credit to either side when due.

Janice Evans ● 1926d

If Thatcher had been in charge during a pandemic, she might have made mistakes but she would have understood the science as she was a a scientist. I would similarly have had faith in any subsequent PM because they had a sense of responsibility and the role of the PM as a unifying force in a national crisis. Johnson has no such understanding. He is a disgrace to the office he holds. I would have any other Tory PM than him.I’m anti this Tory government. I know a lot of Tories who agree that Johnson is a very poor leader of his party and the country. You seem unable to acknowledge any of his  failings.

Stewart Jones ● 1925d

Don't agree, read my reply on the other thread, this Government havedone more than enough in one year to make me very pleased with them.

Janice Evans ● 1925d

Every leader makes mistakes BJ is no different. In terms of the vaccine programme it was a massive team effort and in my humble opinion the team has done a great job. The challenge is now down to the rest of us doing good too! Even TB acknowledges whomever is in government covid is very testing and he is no Tory supporter. Scientific modelling is just that a model no one knows how covid will play out all anyone can do is their best to predict how to manage it, no easy task.

A leader who panders to popularity isn't much of a help.

There was more info on 16 and 17 year olds vaccination on More or Less on Radio 4 this morning.

Walk in clinic today for 16+. First and second jabs ( if 1st on or before 16th June). Open till 12. Chiswick Health Centre on Fishers Lane

Sandra Taylor ● 1918d

There is a walk-in at the Brentford fountain centre today and tomorrow. Does anyone know if this is open to 17 yr olds?

David Turner ● 1907d

'You seem unable to acknowledge any of his  failings.'Stewart - there's none so blind. I don't understand how anyone could even think this government, made up of the self-entitled and Eton educated rich toffs gives a second thought to the rest of us. They haven't a clue. But when you've a majority like Johnson you can - and they do - act with impunity and contempt. How else could you explain the comments about Thatcher closing coal mines he made yesterday?
