The bit where Joanna Biddolph declared clearly that she was not a member of OneChiswick whilst being described under her profile on the OneChiswick private Facebook at a ‘Member of OneChiswick’ was certainly interesting. The group is taking the Council to court. The profile was changed a day later. Why?

It’s one thing to be a signed up member of One Chiswick. It’s quite another to then formally declare you are not a member of One Chiswick, and that One Chiswick does not actually have members, when you yourself have previously referred to their membership.

One Chiswick does have members though. I should know - I tried to join and they denied me membership! Typical Biddolph sophistry trying to claim she’s not a member of an organisation because it doesn’t have members. But in this case, just a dumb lie, because it does and she is a member. Oh well - who cares :-) Learning this doesn’t change my opinion of her.

I largely formed my opinion of Cllr Biddolph based on the task force survey she did. Her decision not to ask traders what they thought of the current arrangements, her attempts to structure the survey to get a predetermined outcome and when that failed, simply to misrepresent the results led me to form an opinion that she was not honest. I understand she denied being a member of One Chiswick when it is arguable that she is - that did nothing to change my opinion of her - i.e that she is not always honest. Her view is that more cars are essential for commerce in Chiswick, which I think is wrong and is also a selfish and blinkered mindset that ignores air pollution and the climate, let alone issues such as obesity and diabetes. I'm sure that in person she can be charming, interesting and is kind to animals, especially small dogs :-)  My hope is that enough Tories will realise that the governing (Tory) party's policies are sensible and that Cllr Biddolph is out of step with both conservative thinking and public opinion and move her on.At which point we can all celebrate the good she has done for Chiswick (I'm sure she's done loads over the years) and be grateful for the fact that she's prevented from doing any further harm.

What definitive proof have you that Cllr Biddolph is a member of OC or if OC has a membership scheme ? Please provide that proof here and now !Your claims about Cllr Biddolph are mendacious in the extreme. As for your childish, small minded and snide comment about 'small dogs' - come Ed take me on, I can promise you I can and will respond inappropriately.As for further harm, how's your international shipping of your products benefitting the UK and global environment  ? A rather confused and vitriolic post Loraine.I explained my reasons for my (low) opinion of JB were down to the deceptive nature of the Shops Task Force report she did.Your response is to say that she didn't do the report, or at least was one of several councillors who produced it.However, when I challenged her on the report she said (on this forum) that she designed, hand delivered and collected the responses for the survey. If she wishes to distance herself from the report - then let her say so, not you, because it appears that you are quite uninformed about it."What definitive proof have you that Cllr Biddolph is a member of OC or if OC has a membership scheme ?"This question is trying to impose a strict legalistic definition of membership in order to claim that Biddolph wasn't a member of One Chiswick, as it has no members.There is no question that she was a member of the One Chiswick private Facebook group - and there's some fun proof of that:https://twitter.com/onechiswick/status/1415040459806842880?s=21There is no question that she was involved in discussions in the group with other members. There are screenshots circulating of that.It is accurate to say that she was a member of One Chiswick.My claims are not "mendacious in the extreme", they are reasonable and backed up with reasonable proof - and what's more, you almost certainly know they are.  Your issue is that you object to me saying them, but that doesn't make me a liar.  I can think of a couple of people whose honesty is in question though! p.s. I like dogs and used to have a medium sized one.  When I said that JB was charming, interesting, nice to animals and small dogs I meant she's not all bad.....although that seems to have really triggered you - to the point where you appear to be threatening me:"Ed take me on, I can promise you I can and will respond inappropriately."

TfL and LBH has done this very thing for years and yet you have no criticism nor animosity for them. I'm beginning to think you just don't like Conservative women.

Ed, you seem generally like a quite sensible young man but it isn't too your credit that you seem to have started to join in on the pile-ons against Jo Biddolph. A small group of men seemed obsessed with her and seem determined to amplify manufactured controversies to target her in a personal way. This is not a good look whatever your view on her opinions.This nonsense over membership of OneChiswick is just juvenile. Anyone can see there is a distinction between signing up for a Facebook group and being a member of the constituted organisation that is called OneChiswick. As it has a bank account to take donations it must be a properly constituted body with members of which Jo Biddolph appears not to be one.I don't really understand what you are driving at when you say your animosity to Cllr Biddolph is down to the work she is doing with Chiswick shops and the report she published on Devonshire Road. Are the owners and managers of businesses on the road saying the conclusions are distorted? There are only a handful of businesses on Devonshire Road that I know well enough to be aware of their opinions on the issue and even the one who would prefer more restrictions to be retained isn't claiming there was a significant number who wanted things to remain as they were.

Honestly, you lot, I've spoken to Loraine in person so I know she's a grown up adult, but FFS at what point would all of you stand back and think "with our tit for tat squabbles we're making ourselves look like a bunch of kids, and the rest of the Chiswick community is embarrassed at how our never-ending sniping at one another reflects on them ?".Can't you just agree to disagree and try to move on, instead of literally posting hundreds of times in a typical month about the same thing /.You'll try to justify it by saying that you care about your community, but that's nonsense, it's just pathetic and shameful.

Excellent advice Adam, which I'll endeavour to follow.What annoys me is the constant trolling, bullying and sniping at and about Jo Biddolph. Some people on here go out of their way to insult and belittle her and that's vicious.

You certainly need to keep away from NextDoor, Adam. Threads of more than a thousand smoldering on for months. Makes CW4 seem the epitome of brevity!Some of this is undoubted sniping, but that is being used to try to divert attention from what is an important issue here, of a directly misleading declaration of interest from a Councillor prior to their impugning the integrity of officers on the basis of discredited evidence.

Tom, if you genuinely think Cllr Biddolph has attempted to mislead people then make a formal complaint rather than ganging up with her with your mates on social media. I may be missing something but I don't really see any substance to your complaint and it possibly would be regarded as vexatious but there are proper procedures to be followed.

No Carl, what's  'vile' is the persistent abuse and trolling of Cllr Biddolph.Nothing to do with wishing to appear innocent, but everything to do with recognising that Adam made a valid comment.
