Visited Chiswick Cinema for the first time yesterday morning to see the new James Bond film, and it was a bit of a mixed experience. It is a very nice space, with a bright and inviting foyer, pleasant staff, good range of food and drink on offer, etc. And our seats in screen 2 were lovely and comfortable, with plenty of legroom. However there was a problem with the projector, which meant the image froze and could not be started. This was during the adverts, not the film. They tried to fix it for a while, and when it became apparent that this would not be possible, we were moved to another screen to view the film. It was fine, and at least we got to see Bond, if about 40 minutes later than planned. The screen was a lot smaller, and we didn't get the seats we had booked, so it was a bit of a scramble when we arrived at the new screen. We felt it might have been nice to have been offered some kind of discount or refund on our tickets, as it is not cheap, and our experience was marred by this unfortunate incident. I would go again, but feel there should have been someone on hand to fix the problem more promptly. I appreciate you will get teething problems with any new venture, but the cinema has been open for a while now.
