Tfl and LBH manipulating figures?

Laughable ( if it weren’t so sad.) TfL and the council continue to ignore resident’s views and instead release baseless propaganda figures like these. What is the point of issuing dozens of surveys and so-called “consultations“ – when 91% of residents say that they do not want these measures – and then talk to 47 people – who may or may not live in Chiswick – and just because 23 of them are in favour, claim this project is a huge success. I’ve never read such drivel.  Of course , “le tout”  Chiswick as you put it would love to be at the centre of a cycling success story.  Unfortunately this is not it.  The council strategy is to continually wear residents down with endless surveys, and  completely ignore the results .

You shouldn't believe the nonsense that comes out of OneChiswick47% percent support of Cycleway 9 came from a survey of 2000 people within 2km of the Cycleway 9 route.This was a representative sample of people in the area, not the opinions of a self-selecting echo chamber like OneChiswick.

They were very hasty and probably a bit desperate which is why people who had actually participated in the survey of 2000 like Russell Pearson were so quick to follow Mark Perry's lead. It was fun to watch and especially fun to watch them concluding that the lack of responses to their idiocy proved they were correct. The Onesies! Inimitable.

"where did OneChiswick get the information about it being a survey of less than 50 people - or did they just make it up?"I think it was just stupidity rather than anything planned.  TfL did do a discussion with 48 people and someone on OneChiswick assumed this was the source of the survey that showed 47% of people were in favour of C9.Just 48 people being surveyed was exactly what some people on OneChiswick wanted to hear so it then became received truth, to the extent that it gets posted on this forum and Cllr Biddolph repeated the nonsense in front of the scrutiny committee tonight.The irony is, the 47% support came from a survey of 2000 people in the area done by a market research agency and some people in OneChiswick even posted about being contacted at the time.  Russell Pearson even commented on it.So they obviously forgot that this survey had been done and jumped upon the much more attractive idea that it was a completely different activity that only involved  48 people.It looks like good example of "group think" with nobody applying any critical thinking.

I can’t be the only one who has at times suspected David Lesniak is a deep mole of the Evil Cycling Lobby. He discredits the opponents of the cycle lane by association with his vitriol while he feeds them false information to make them look publicly foolish, at best.The dossier of evidence for his success in this role is certainly getting thicker.

Very well, but the snow this year was better at Innsbrook. Congratulations on setting up Councillor Biddolph for Tuesday’s meeting. I really didn’t expect her to latch on to your nonsensical claim that lorries will find it difficult to turn into the cycle lane with the revised scheme, but she bought it hook, line and sinker. The TfL officer didn’t know whether to laugh or cry!Can we have more like this, please?

He is undoubtedly an asset but still surpassed by Agent Urban Arrow, the genius deeply embedded in the Onesies who convinced Cllrs Biddolph and Hearn to repeat the bogus claims on the survey and collisions in a public meeting where they were surrounded by informed professionals. You don't have to be called David to be a ECL mole but it certainly helps when it comes to discrediting and embarrassing the Chiswick Councillors.

Perhaps you help with Litter Picking ? Help the Homeless/those about to become homeless ? Give to Food Banks ?
