Rob Reynolds explained" I wouldn't fancy his chances of cleaning the slobber off his back seats with 2 of them !  Would love one of them if they didn't glaze everything. "My mistake, Rather than being Newfoundlands they were in fact Bernese (mountain dogs). Just very big anywayand its always nice to learn something new every day,. As to the changes. Most long term users were probablyaccepting of the need for changes if the Park was to remain financially viable. Presumably the only otheralternative short of a politically impossible hike in council tax would be to allow it to revert back to the Rothschilds. As to parking, presumably walking from surrounding streets would present additional difficulties for peoplewith mobility problems more especially down the narrow entrance. I don't know enough about this to know whether separate arrangements are possible. But the fact that any such reassurance appears to be lacking from all the announcements so far (AFAIAA) speaks for itself IMO.  Again the way they've gone about it, especially in respect of the bowls club and totally ignoring people on lower incomes - not just pensioners but quitepossibly families in receipt of universal credit as well, who may even indeed have arrived on public transport, leaves a very bitter taste. More especially coming from an organisation supposedlyto be acting in the interests of "the community". A very limited subset of the community, more like.Which doesn't actually make commercial sense. People who can't afford something  - anything from a cup of coffee to a round of pitch and putt are simply lostcustomers who won't come again, Why go somewhere where everything is so expensive ? The fact that the museum is "free" is immaterial if a family of four might then have to shell out a tenner or more for refreshments afterwards as a result of pester pressure. In fact its promotion as such - "free" could be seen as a rather cynical marketing ploy - a "loss leader" in fact. And all done on behalf of "the community." Rob Reynolds finally went on to suggest: " The shed/caravan cafe near the football pitch was only every temporary i think?" Quite possibly. I don't even know if it was openduring the week as I only walked past it on Sundays.Had it been there in the depths of winter I wouldhave been walking past it on Sundays as well then. But I honestly can't remember.  michael adams...
