Devonshire Rd - Thames Water

Thames water have closed off part of Devonshire road for roadworks. The diversion they have put in place is nonsensical, forcing a high volume of traffic down 3 residential streets (Combe/Alkerden/Swanscombe). These roads can not cope with the volume of traffic or the size of Vehicle. There is far better alternate diversion route which should be put in place.Does anyone know who is responsible for the diversion? Is it thames water or Hounslow?

Quite a few drivers don’t seem to believe that Devonshire Rd road is closed with no access to Ingress Street hence Annandale and CHR or are just ignoring the diversion signs. So lots of vehicles end up reversing or turning around. While the roadworks are in progress the bottom of Annandale near Swanscombe is signed for two way traffic rather than the usual one way South from Ingress.
