I watched about 10 minutes.  The voices were out of sync of off mic, Andrew Neil droned on far too long and some girl from the Apprentice threatened a 2-hour daily show of her own.  Me?  I'm done

I have to agree, not the best of starts. The sound engineers need to get their act togeather and the over dark backgrounds with blue stripes didn't work for me.I also felt that the presenters were trying too hard and need to settle down.However I remember London Live had similar issues when they launched so I am going to cut them some slack for the moment and give them a chance to put things right.

I tried to watch it,  the usual boring drivel about woke culture, such a snooze. If Andrew Neil does a political interview it would be worth watching as he is such a master at it,  other than that it just looks like the TV version of Talk radio.

I watched a bit of it - the segment hosted by Dan Wooton. I wish I could say it was disappointing, but unfortunately it was exactly what I expected, with the exception of the presence of Neil Oliver. Who knew he was such an opinionated curmudgeon? There was nothing much on offer to hold the viewer but I was driven to the off button by the length of the commercial breaks which went on forever. Nomally you would say that is a good sign for the viability of a new enterprise, but in this case I strongly suspect they were pretty much giving away the slots - or soon will be. Expect wall-to-wall ads for gold bullion and equity release very soon.If you really want an "alternative" view of the news try "Russia Today".....

Somehow I didn't expect the Grauniad and the Indie to be in favour of an outlet putting across opinions different to theirs. At least GB News doesn't have Laura Kuenssberg, so we should be thankful for small mercies.

What's your problem with Laura Kuenssberg, Richard?Is she not left/right wing enough for you? Or do you not like her because she seems well-informed?As for GB News, it's the voice of 'bloke', financed and gasighted by Brexit-supporting billionaires.Whats, not to like, eh?Also, as the Steve Coogan character, Paul Calf, would have said: "it's a bag of shite".

Freeview 236."Regardless of the politics the format is tired and the production values are rubbish.Apart a daily Andrew Neil interview presumably the basic format seems to be that of breakfast TV throughout the day.One male and one female presenter staring at the camerastaring at each other or their laptops. Wittering on and on filling up airtime. With the presenting teams changing ever three hours.And that's it. Otherwise its totally formlessThey introduce outside feeds of talking heads from around the country but with only a fleeting caption so unless you watch intently you won't have a clue as to who that person isThe sound and vision are rubbish, poor quality and no lip synch even in the studio. If it wasn't for the wide shots you could almost imagine the whole  thing being produced on a smartphone or a lap top.All of which is sharp contrast with the commercial slots which are of the normal high standard Which they seem to be attracting if only at heavilydiscounted rates.The main cost is probably in presenter salaries.Whether it's they who jump ship before the viewers is a good question IMO michael adams...

I am struggling to even begin to understand how the station has got so much so wrong.I turned on again just now and the sound and picture quality is still poor and the camera work is just not there.Whatever people think of the content unless it is transmitted to a high standard viewers will simply evaporate.

I’ve just had a look too.  I watched for about 45 minutes and got bored.  I was hoping for a bit of passion and commitment even if I disagreed with the views.  And yes, the production values are somewhat lacking.  My impression is that they have simply underestimated what is involved in producing a viable news channel and are trying to do it on the cheap.

So even with a right-wing and very hard Brexit, a very nationalistic and hard right government with a whopping majority, a hugely popular PM who lies with no qualms at all, GB news still feels that the current MSM is far too left-wing. When do Tories realise that they are actually winning and they have  just get on with it and stop making up pretend culture wars and blaming other parties or even former Tories who have the courage to say their own party  has taken a wrong turn?
