Runway schedules Heathrow

Can anyone tell me what the runway schedules are at Heathrow this week over Grove Park. Just want to know which is the quietest time of day. Need to do a short video without plane noise. I tried last week using the Heathrow runway schedule but it didn’t seem to be accurate

It is not the schedule but the wind direction that determines the operations. Runway alteration will make no difference You want an easterly blowing wind but we are on a westerly so your get planes landing over grove park until the wind changes. You need a weather forecast for that and it can change at any time. The only good thing is that in summer times we have more easterly blowing winds. But not right now.

You could use this to see if and when your have a gap to video and judge for how long https://www.flightradar24.com/51.52,-0.22/11

what time are the planes meant to stop at night?

Matthew Swain ● 1967d

23:30 to 06:00But have a allowance of 5,800 night-time flights a yearSome will be delays but most of that quota are used between 04.30 and 06.00 and mostly from Asia-Pacific region due to time and slots available

At the moment Heathrow is still running single runway operations. So it would switch normally between left and right runways throughout the day.Landings East or West depend on wind direction.

15:00 hrs for switch each day

The 15:00 switch is only when they are using both runways.  Currently they are on single runway operations, and they stay on one runway all week.  This week (beginning 7 June) all flights are using the southern runway 27L, which means that planes are passing over East Sheen and not Grove Park.  It will be Grove Park's turn next week (14 June) when they'll use runway 27R.I agree that the noise reduction for us is more noticeable when the wind is from the east and there are no planes landing over London. The current runway alternation schedule is at https://www.heathrow.com/content/dam/heathrow/web/common/documents/company/local-community/noise/operations/runway-alternation/Runway_Alternation_Programme_4_Jan-25_Jul_2021_SRO.pdf

There is a Twitter feed with live updates on runway operations/noise: @HeathrowNoise You don't need a Twitter account to look at it - you can just view it here: https://twitter.com/HeathrowNoise
