Dog trainer recommendation

If anyone is looking for a dog trainer we can wholeheartedly recommend Martin Stocks of Martsmutts. We were beginning to despair of being able to handle our large dog but with Martin’s advice walking her has become a pleasure. He’s also a qualified dog First Aider though thankfully we didn’t need this skill! He’s local and can be contacted on 07973 908009.

Afternoon Beverley! I should probably give Martin a call direct, but do you happen to know if he would be able to help with an elderly dog who likes to bark a lot! He is very gently, but has been 'trained' to bark at every noise or disturbance outside by his previous owner (my mother), and now we are living in a residential street in Chiswick, we are desperately seeking ways of quietening him down a bit!

Is the dog in new surroundings Mark, they often bark at everything to startwith then they get used to the usual noises and ignore them and will onlybark at the unusual sounds.  may not be the case, but just saying.

Oh and try not to tell him off, praise him and give a treat, sometimes works.
