Greek food, etc.

Since the disappearance of the much-missed Adamou's from CHR, I've been buying my olive oil and stuff from the Athenian Grocery in Moscow Road, Bayswater, but it's a bit of a trek, and I was wondering if anyone knows of somewhere selling Greek comestibles which is convenient to get to from the Chiswick area.

I am pretty sure I have seen Greek olive oil and other Greek products at Hakikat on Acton High street (yes, I know it is a Turkish shop but they have a wide range of products, including Polish). It also does terrific home made mergeuz sausages should you be partial to them.

Try Hellenic Deli at Barnes Farmers Market Saturday and Chiswick Sunday. Limited in products, but top grade on what they have. They also do home delivery.

It might be worth trying Vergina Bakery on Acton High Street, just at the top of Acton Lane.

I just noticed a large food shop immediately across from Pure Gym in Acton which seems to specialise in Greek food. On the awning there were many references to Greek extra virgin olive oil , bread and pastries. Could be worth a visit.
