Mayor of London

Will somebody tell me if there are any limitations of the number of times consecutively that politician can be elected MofL and a la Trump is there any rule that prevents them from returning after a break? Thanks

As with Prime Minister, there is no maximum number of terms the London Mayor can complete. The will of the people and/or whether the incumbent chooses to stand will control it.https://metro.co.uk/2021/05/09/london-mayoral-election-how-long-can-someone-be-mayor-for-14546796/

The little twerp can run and run and run until the Tories get a credible candidate and back him/her unfortunately

Indeed he can, but who is the Twerp(s) Ghengis or those who voted him back into office  ?

Whether you can't wait for him to go, or would like him to go on forever, it doesn't make any difference. For like Boris before him (or Burnham up in Manchester), Khan is only using the Mayor's position to keep him in the spotlight until he judges the time is right to have another go on the National stage.

I thought the Labour party were in enough trouble already!

If only we had an articulate mayor of whatever political persuasion. This one is just an embarrassment.

An independent would be my preferred choice.

"An independent would be my preferred choice."If enough people had joined me in voting for Count Binface, you'd have got your wish.
