Noise from planes

What’s going on. There has been non stop noise from planes going over today (Sunday) about every 5 minutes.

I said the same to myself earlier. I don't have a problem with them per se, but surprised to hear so many in these times, and back to the early start too.

There's been more cloud around during the past few days..which doesn't help.But good news recently is that aircraft departing eastwards from Heathrow are taking a steeper departure route and vere away from us all more sharply. Lighter loaded aircraft leaving presumably.

Would a steeper departure use more fuel, know they will be usingother take off routes in 2022. Think in an effort to give some areas a breakfrom the noise.

Doesn't increased speed of air over wing give increased lift?If so, speed is a factor of thrust.

Oh,and jim is correct in what he saysGiven the right conditions we will start hearing those night flights into Luton above us from south to north like a  high pitched whine. It has been mentioned on here before by others wondering what the noise is at 2am That again is down to the makeup of the wing on the Airbus 19/20 series and the air passing over the wing and not the engines

You are correct but lets just say airfoil and angle of climb on reaching rotate
