It seems that considerably more local routes are affected than are listed in the article on w4.com. Check with TFL's site to see a full list.Certainly there are no E3 272 or 94 buses running today.

So even those elderly/disabled able to totter to their nearest bus stop need their cars to transport them! Please note A BIKE IN NOT AN OPTION!

What is the inconvenience (to some) all about one asks.The Unite Union making pay deals with different Companies about which we know little.Who knows the ins and outs. It's wages fog to most of us. I've noticed that some drivers work on...perhaps needing the money.

Thanks for this Bruce. I wouldn’t have known this so change of plans for me.Decided to go to local corner shop for something I’d run out of.On the way there were a lot of people waiting for 94 and 272 buses. All busy with phones trying to find out from TfL when next buses due to arrive.Told them they were wasting their time going through a very long list.No buses from here due to strike.All really grateful for this info and changing plans.What about me?No problem. I’m just going home now..Couldn’t stay there all day!Hopefully better tomorrow.

Rima, I don't know if you use an app to check on "live" bus times but certainly mine has been found wanting when there are problems. To be fair looking at it today it was obvious that something was up because certain routes were greyed out or said "nothing expected". I was caught out recently though when Sutton Court Road was unexpectedly closed by a water leak. I stood at the stop by the Town Hall for over half an hour waiting as bus after bus just failed to appear. It was only when a lady told me there were no buses that I realised there was a problem.As far as today's strike is concerned I think more drivers must have joined the strike than originally expected as the 272 and E3 weren't on the list published on this site.Be warned - more strikes are planned for tomorrow and Monday!

Yes, bus Apps do rather go to pot when something goes wrong. Mine was just showing the E3 at the next timetabled time and, of course, no sign of it.

It's still better than the not-so-olden days when we all just stood in hope never knowing whether there'd be one along in 2 minutes or 2 hours!
