Chiswick Lane

I know it has been endlessly covered elsewhere I'm sure. But there is a no right turn sign under the traffic lights into Chiswick Lane (heading East). I thought that was put up in error quite a while ago, but is still there. So does anyone know if is it no right turn or not? ta.

"But there is a no right turn sign under the traffic lights into Chiswick Lane (heading East)."That's true of the lights on the western side of the junction, but if you look across to the eastern side, you'll see that the no-right-turn signs are still bagged over.  So I guess the orange bag has fallen off the western lights.  I'll report it to Hounslow Highways.

No need, Richard. The orange bags are still in place. The better question is why haven't these signals been replaced completely?

"No need, Richard. The orange bags are still in place." No, they are only in place on the eastern side of the junction, as I explained in my earlier post.  On the traffic light post on your side of the junction, there is no bag.  I've reported it to Hounslow Highways.

I didn’t know this So how do you get to chiswick lane then from chiswick high road

You can avail yourself of the rat run it creates by going down Cranbrook Road. The perfect example of traffic being relocated, not removed. It should be noted the sign in question on the east side of the junction appears to be one that illuminates when in operation.

Thank you but not much fun if you live in Cranbrook road , I agree you are just diverting the problem.

Apparently Hounslow Highways don't touch traffic lights, even to put a bag on one, so the report is now with TfL who maintain all traffic lights in London. It's at https://streetcare.tfl.gov.uk/report/2662349

I cycled past this earlier and the orange bags are all restored now to cover up ALL the no right turn signs
