1. Stilehall is 1 row closer to train tracks, so i guess there might be noise that depending on what end/side of the road. Haven't noticed it from Wellesley. I think the road is a little tighter/narrower on Stilehall, for passing cars. Otherwise i think they're pretty similar. Both roads have a good local network of residents set up, one of the few positives to come from lockdown. 2. The driving force behind the changes to road layout wasn't a petition, but was a result of 2 or 3 detailed consultations of residents and the wider community etc over a period of 3 years or so. So it was created under a very different process and rules from the much more recent (unconsulted on) LTN schemes that have had plenty of air time on the forum recently. And yes, the roads are both very quiet now, which is great for families etc who live there - noise, pollution, road safety etc.3. It is a conservation area so it might be a bit trickier (has an impact on permitted development rights i think), but we didn't have a problem making a small change to ours. And if a lot of the other houses around have done it, it's unlikely to be a problem. 4. Don't know personally about Strand on the green school, but have heard good things and it is very easy/quick to get to. There are some decent private prep schools just across kew bridge.
