LBH Council Tax Bill.

Good morning, My dad passed away a few weeks back and the Council Tax bill from Hounslow has arrived. My mum has asked me to tell LBH that he has died and to get her name on the bill. I rang Hounslow and was told I can't do this over the phone but use the link that they will send. I've got the link opened it and still cant find anything in it to change name etc.Anyone had any success in doing this? If so let me know, Thank you.

Can a local Councillor help you with this?

BrianFirst of all, my condolences.John may well have covered this in his EMAIL, but if your mother is a single occupant in her abode she is eligible for a 25% discount on her council tax. The discount is applied to the total amount. It should be shown on the bill. If not, then the issue should be followed up. There is no rush as it is applied from the date on the death certificate and is therefore back dated.

Thank you John. She will be applying for the discount. Also a big thank you to John Todd for getting in touch and helping to sort this out.
