Census question again

Sorry folks but I have a couple of neighbours (old and a little vague) who are amazed to hear they have to fill in this Census Form.  Forum, what form???  Neither has a computer and swear they've never had any form and obviously they don/'t have a reference number so I cannot help them to get a paper form.  I think someone way back had a number that a human bean answered (eventually) but lost that - I can't spend ages on this as in the middle of two other pressing matters - anyone know the tel number - 0800 141 2021 is NOT any use.   Thanks.

If you go on to census.gov.uk it says either Start census in a green box or Don’t have a code? In blue.  If you click on Don’t have a code it will send one to a mobile and you can then help them fill it on online.  I had to do that as our household letter with the code went missing. You get the code by text in a few minutes.

There'll be a lot of people who won't be able to complete this year's census online and, if they don't have anyone who can help them, an enumerator will knock on their door and do it with them or hand them a paper copy. This will clearly be more resource intensive but shouldn't cause extra stress to anyone.

Bernard, I gave Jennifer that number and apparently it was of no use,why do they give useless info.

We need telephone number to request original letter with the code, they could then ring that number for the Form.

Ive just phoned that number,it works and has everything including requests for paper form and code. PRESS 1 FOR PAPER FORM REQUEST              2 INFORMATION ON MOST ASKED QUESTIONS              3  SPEAK TO ADVISER

Oh must apologise to Gov.  Jennifer said it was of not use.

Julian I've just now rung that 0800 no.  Pressed 1 for papr form request and this female voice asks for your ref. no. shown on the mailed form!  So now what???  Neither person has the original form???

Interesting to see that the first ever electronic census is facing some teething problems. Historically, the fact that the Scotland part is postponed until 2022 will make comparisons less consistent than those between previous records.

Jennifer, did you try Rebecca's suggestion.
