I feel it is a very sad situation for all involved. Meghan has obviously had problems with her own father and half-siblings and it seems it may have spilled over into problems with her in-laws. It can never be easy for any Californian to marry into a British family, of whatever status, and move to a new and (to her) strange country, let alone when your every move is in the spotlight. The discussion of Archie's skin colour before his birth between Harry and one of his relations, which is being blown up into a racism row, could be completely innocent - in the case of mixed marriages it is only natural to wonder what the child will look like, and unless the relation was being negative about skin colour, it seems to me a perfectly valid point to discuss his possible appearance. It sounds as though when Harry mentioned this to Meghan she took it the wrong way, and it is a shame that they didn't sort out any misunderstandings privately. After all, Archie could have had blonde straight hair (Diana and Philip), dark wavy hair (the Queen and Charles), red curly hair (Harry and other Spencers), or dark crinkly hair (Doria), and I suspect any family would have been intrigued to see what the new relation looked like.
