Swiss ban face covering
It is a curious world when COVID encourages face coverings but the swiss manage to pass a law to ban this, based on fear of Islam. They banned new minarattes a few years ago. According to the BBC, there are probably near zero who wear the the full on Burqua, and perhaps 30 or so people who wear a Niqab (face veil).How do we get to a point where people are just people, and their background, history, parents and geography of birth makes them somehow automatically feared/hated? I cannot help but remember a report about a muslim woman on a beach in the south of france who acosted by the police because she was wearing too many clothes and not showing enough skin.
