Has this W4.com link packed up for good?

Has ChiswickW4.com being clsed and and should we all be usding the alternative link which is .....?   This current link is barely functioning - can open a post but then following comments not showing.   With a bit of luck and a following wind might manage eventually to  bring up next comment, maybe two or three but then back we go to stalemate.  Instead of a quick skim through this site to see what's come up over night, it now takes a dedicated hour or more to do this! What is the link to the new site and is it any better?   Does it work for adjacent Brentford etc sites?

Not sure if i like the new.chiswickW4 forum layout. With old layout you could choose which post you wanted to dip into, and even then it could get pretty lengthy. Now you have to scroll down through every single reply. Bit like 'Nextdoor' On a long thread it can take forever.

This is so much better than having to click on each reply and waiting 30 sec for the page to reload, about 20 years late but better late than never.

Thanks Richard no sure I like it any more than the original version - still lots of scrolling up and down but at least can read all comments in one go.  However, doesn't regognise me and wants me to register again if I want to comment - can't be bothered for the moment.

Ooh, this is much better! No more waiting for posts to load!

Just to say that the  "new" w4.com site isn't actually that new. I've been using it for ages whenever I wanted to include an image of some sort. It also has its flaky moments and I'm unaware of any plan for a switchover. It seems odd to have the two sites running side by side for so long, way beyond any evaluation process, so does anyone know what the ultimate intention is?

I've no idea, but the fact that the Wandsworth, Wimbledon and Shepherd's Bush sites are in only the new format suggests that they are aiming to move to it eventually.

@Bruce "so does anyone know what the ultimate intention is?"Is it .... for people to engage with one another in a civil, considerate, grown-up, polite and tolerant manner?

That would be nice. And of course finding lost pets. However for the purposes of this discussion it's the medium not the message that I'm enquiring about.

I saw someone cycling on the pavement earlier.
