I'm a bit out of touch with this - what's the going rate for a cleaner - 2 - 3hrs a week, single tidy occupant small flat.

Badly need someone to help me clean - animals plus severe back problems makes thorough cleaning hard. But currently would not want to take the risk of someone in my home unless recently tested and a month or so after they have had the vaccine. If they have Covid, they could spread it through the air and on every single surface they touch.

I agree Claire but one has to take a balanced view and weigh up the pros and cons. Like everyone else, I'm going stir crazy. I've had the 1st vaccine jab and been cut off from all and sundry for weeks Anyone even if they've been vaccinated could be carrying the virus unknowingly. I've decided must get my home "spicked and spanned" again - shall have windows wide open and leave cleaner to it whle I burn some rubber at over 50mph to give the old gal a good blow through down Kingston by pass? M4? anywhere for a hour or so with a slow scootle back via Richmond Park perhaps. It's tnat or go completely dotty! If I do catch the virus am told I've got a high level of protection now I'm vaccinated! You take your chances. Wish me luck.
It takes weeks for the vaccine to provide any protection Jennifer.

Mine was done 1st week of Jan so halfway there - shall not be talking to anyone while I'm in the car puffing away on my oxygen. Domestos for hands and all surfaces.
Yes, it's wonderful that many are having the vaccine but things will not go back to normal even after the second jab, we must all remember some have had no vaccine and we will have to continue being very careful.
