There's no need for "one to wonder" about this Bobbie. These are both elite schools with fabulous facilities who only select the brightest of pupils. Always as many as possible children from poor families via scholarship. If they could, they would both select entirely fee-blind – which is the dream of most similar schools. They well understand their privileged position and are constantly reaching out into the community to share what they have. They do this actively and regularly in many very big ways. And it's not numbers in a class that determine how hard any teacher works. Like our many fabulous state school teachers, these are fully committed to their complex task of educating very bright and demanding students. Teaching is hard work for everyone.Sure, there are many who don't approve of such schools. Who believe education should be a comprehensively level playing field. That's another matter.
