2 new scams this morning

The first was a phone message rom our American house sitter from last year to say her phone number had changed and  I should click to get her new one.The second was an email from and elderly friend saying she wanted to buy an Amazon gift card for her daughter but hadn’t been able to do so could we do it for her.  A quick check with some of her other friends revealed that they had had the same.  The address at the top was an Hotmail one and it is not hers.It is getting more and more difficult to avoid being caught out.

Good work checking them Elizabeth.I got the Royal Mail unable to deliver a parcel mail this morning. Apart from the weird sender email address, It told me that there had been no answer at my address and nowhere safe to put it. A bit further down the text it said that my address was incomplete would I send my full name and address.I did have to laugh.Reported to report@phishing.gov.uk

If you ever want a bit of a laugh, then watch a couple of the TED talks with James Veitch on how he dealt with scammers - had me laughing my head off.
