Something to cheer you up...

Hello everyone.In these tricky times, I have decided to do something to cheer people up a bit. I’m a local resident and artist and since the start of this lockdown I’ve been creating collage art of inspirational quotes to raise people’s spirits a bit. I’ve been putting them ion my Instagram account @the_colour_file and have recently had a bunch of them (around 20 different patterns) made into postcards.This weekend I’m going to be hanging them up around Chiswick with a label on each saying ‘take me & send me’, the aim being that you’ll take one and send it to someone you’re missing/thinking of, or keep it for yourself . Kind of ‘card-bombing’, I guess.This isn’t a commercial venture (in fact its totally self-funded) just something to hopefully put a bit of colour into people’s lives at the moment. I know how much hope and joy colour brings to me so I’d like to spread the joy!Martha

Love it!I am so luck my father and his father saved many of the post cards sent between the family dating back to before WW1 which are beyond price to me.

Brrrr, it’s chilly out there! But I’ve been out this morning and put loads of cards out.
