Looking for work experience

I’m 21 and have been working in hospitality since leaving school. Lockdown has made me reassess what I would like for my future. I would like to train as an electrician and was wondering if anybody could give me some work experience or point me in the right direction for an apprenticeship?  I am very hard working and would greatly appreciate any help that anybody could offer.  Thank you.

Google, there are loads of courses and now would be a fantastic time to retrain, good luck.

I personally would call up companies and ask them if you can do an apprenticeship. My friend did it in IT. He worked next to his full time job every Saturday in that company. First they offered him a part- time job, later a Full-time job. Good luck!

You might be all over this, but if you're not - it's https://www.nationalapprenticeshipweek.co.uk next week. The rail industry (incl London Underground) offer excellent apprenticeships although you may have missed this year's window.  God luck.
