Just seen on Twitter, anyone know who the culprits might be?"Hillingdon Police  @MPSHillingdon2hThe owner of a restaurant in #Chiswick High Road has been reported for consideration of a £10,000 fine after a group of more than 30 people were discovered at a party inside the premises on Friday night.A total of 15 people have also been issued with fixed penalty notices."

I hope that when this is in the public domain someone will put it on the forum site.There have been complaints on this site about certain shops in Chiswick not doing enough to enforce mask wearing etc. But that is an altogether lesser matter than deliberately using your premises for a clearly illegal gathering.I would never use the establishment again. And if they are licensed premises I hope the relevant authorities will also consider whether that licence should be removed.

Does anybody have any information about how many of these fines have actually been collected. Also the fines for attending parties etc. The new fine we were told would be £800. A lot of people dont have this much, so what happens there?

Also consider this: Hounslow has yet to disburse grant money and has no information as to when that will be. The most recent LBH email states "it is taking longer than had been anticipated for a number of reasons." That's all. Nothing more.Other councils have disbursed grant money. Hounslow thought it a good time to rebuild a website instead.

BenI have not complained about shops not being strict enough on masks.I joined the threads simply to challenge Nicholas's inability to grasp the scale and seriousness of the situation and the fact that people who don't wear masks in shops etc, however good their reason for not doi g so, can only make the situation worse.So an entirely different subject. And no of course I won't be apologising to him because I have nothing to apologise for.

David have Hounslow not distributed the lump sum due start of lockdown 3  nor the monthly January sum? If not that’s an utter disgrace and could be the difference between survival or bust and keeping staff on furlough or letting them go. As usual good to see Hounslow getting their priorities right - not.

No, Mark. Hounslow has not distributed the last of Tier 4 grants not to mention the latest grant announced due to tighter restrictions.To others, I'm not condoning what happened simply asking those to understand the severity of the situation made worse by an inept council. To Julian I'd say this, if your friends or your favorite pub had told you they did something like this, would you have the same reaction? Or would you say something more supportive?

Just read there was a party on a boat on the Grand Union Canal North Acton. The organiser was handed a £10000.00 penalty. 72 guests were handed the new £800.00 fine. £67600.00 total, it would be good if these fines could given to the NHS.
