Last sunday

Last Sunday in the afternoon I wanted to go for a walk- decided to go into Chiswick House Grounds.  I cannot tell you how many walkers and runners were there- all together - many with no masks- no 2 metre spaces etc etc - I came out and walked along a very boring road as this was the only place where I could get out of the way of these extremely selfish people.- is this how we keep safe ?  Please people look at the awful numbers and think of innocent people who wish to keep safe.

Forget Chiswick house at the weekends it’s crazy busy, during the week is best time to go very quiet, easy to social distance mainly people walking their dogs and jogger ha!

Have you tried Gunnersbury.  I haven't been recently, too cold for me, but I always found a quiet spot in the early lockdown with the nice weather. Of course you might have to drive and I'm not sure that's allowed and the free parking is no more.  Not sure about street parking I'm afriad, I can just about walk from home.

Chiswick House can often be busy in normal times, so it shouldn't come as a surprise it's busier now. There are plenty of deserted (and very pretty) Chiswick streets to walk. Night walks better as you can peer through un-curtained windows. Some spectacular property porn to drool over in Bedford Park.

Please don’t walk dogs in Gunnersbury a pal of mine had a really bad experience recently someone have put something toxic down and dogs are getting very ill, so be very careful.

It would be lovely to find somewhere to walk somewhere with a little bit of nature but if one doesn't have a car it is really difficult  even the river walks are now a no go area as it's the same as our local park - I just plead with people to think of others ...

Kew Gardens is very pleasant. Very civilised with no arrogant joggers spreading their mist and no uncouth cyclists!!

Second that re Kew Gardens.  Have recently become a member and although last week it was busier than normal, there were still plenty of lovely places to walk and benches to sit on that were people free.  And even at the coffee stands people were keeping to social distance rules.

Gunnersbury Triangle Nature Reserve on Bollo Lane is nice, but like most places it is probably busier at the weekend.

"Second that re Kew Gardens."Yes they are very organised at Kew Gardens. It seems they have closed all the 'narrower' paths so there is plenty of room to social distance. I have never come across any inconsiderate people in Kew Gardens during the pandemic. All very civilised.

Last Sunday was the day we woke up to snow.  There was great excitement and lots of families out and about.  A couple of days later there are strange piles every so often with tell-tale bright orange accessory still visible and it looks like someone has been playing a game of giant marbles in the park.

I truly believe when they get to the park they then become invisible, I visited the park during the week and was appalled at some people's actions, I hope your not a cry baby, you bring it all on yourselves I could hardly get inside cafe for groups of dog walkers amassing outside with their coffees if/when you catch it don't start whining and have some thought for others who are sheilders and only get out for a short while and first time out in 2 weeks due to weather, you don't give a hoot for your own welfare so suppose you really cannot stretch to thinking of others
