How will the new village on the site of the former Homebase effect traffic on river crossings? Thinking Chiswick Bridge.

That's quite an awkward roundabout and could maybe do with being reconfigured if there's going to be an upsurge in traffic.
Good point Elizabeth, it can take a while to get out of Manor Rd especially turning right at the roundabout. Maybe another access road will be added for the development. I’ll miss the Homebase.

I assume that we will lose the Pets at Home site which is next to home base. One of problems with over development of this site will be the effect the increased traffic load will have on the A316 roundabout a short distance away combined with the railway crossing.

Reminded me of the development in South Acton - which is pretty high quality.Lack of parking would limit the number of extra cars.....although more bikes (oh no!) Lots of extra local customers for the local cafes, bars and shops and may help to keep some of the independents viable.

It's an awfully big development. There are regular buses serving Sainsbury, though.

Would think less traffic with fewer visitors to the shop from Chiswick?

I don't know how it will affect them.

It does seem an example of over-development though

The new development appears to have very limited parking, available only to disabled residents. There are concerns about the bus services available but it seems that if there is an attempt to minimise impact on traffic levels although there will inevitably be an increase because of deliveries, taxis etc.
