Chiswick Farmers Market

Visited the Farmer’s Market today and there was some beautifully crafted foods etc... and the Sourdough bread I bought has now almost gone. Egg on toast for breakfast and now some bread and the cheese that I bought there as well; my word, I’m done for the day eating. Well done and good luck to all the traders at Chiswick Farmers Market.

Government ministers have been repeatedly asked to explain why the UK has one of the worst coronavirus death rates in the world.  Is it because conservative Cllrs are encouraging people to swan around buying lunch and coffees and attend unnecessary Farmers Markets instead of following the instruction to STAY AT HOME?

Nope Its called shopping pretty much on your doorstep for food reguardles of it being Sourdough bread from the market instead of a sainsburys 40p basic loaf. Certainly less covid than paying for your shop in Sainsburys and other places that is for sure.

What's worse, the frantic Bruce doesn't even understand the meaning of the G word.Gluttony isn't a difficult word Bruce.  But it's certainly a beautiful word.  Look it up.  Use it properly. Stuart - apologies, I've clearly stepped unkowingly into some sort of personal war. I'm afraid I'm not yet fully acquainted with the various allegiances that obviously pertain in this forum. I'm not allied with anyone and I don't actually know what Mr Taylor's thoughts are. I think that your response to my post was very much a case of playing the man not the ball. I was amused by the OP's description of eating himself to a standstill with his purchases at the Farmer's Market: "my word I'm done for the day eating" and I defend my use of the word gluttony to describe it. It's true I have serious doubts about the wisdom of holding the market at the moment, but I'm sure that you will agree that I am entitled to my opinion. If not then there really is no point to this forum. Anyway we're all screaming into the abyss - nobody is even listening except us!

“nobody is even listening except us!”...now that line I like.  It has both insight and wit..But your assumption that I've got some kind of personal feud going with Steve Taylor is, in itself, barking crazy.Never met the bloke. I just think he's having a lousy clovid, which includes elevating himself to someone of supreme authority whilst poring scorn on all who disagree.  He's plainly a git or I'm Charlie Chaplin.I actually don't ever wish to know him.  But that, in itself, doesn't make for a feud.  In fact  try my hardest to keep well away from the twerp.  But every now and then I throw my hands in the air, aghast at something particularly awful he's written.  Then I take a free swing.  Which the doctor says is good for me.  And yes, we're all allowed an opinion. Even though some opinion on this forum is less of an opinion and more of a serious digestive problem.Meanwhile I'm just back from a power walk around Bedford Park.  In which, according to Shakin' Steve, I will have fumed particles of covid in all directions.  Not that I've got covid – but who knows..So:-  In the immortal words of Mister Taylor ….  STAY AWAY FROM BEDFORD PARK – SHUT YOUR WINDOWS AND DON'T OPEN THE DOOR
