Assuming they're made out of card, then the blue recycling box.

You can send them to : - Blind Dog Resue UK. 156 Cabin Lane,Oswestry, Shropshire, SYll 2PF. They make labels from them to sell and raise cash for the Dog Rescue.

"the blue recycling box"Yes, but Hounslow says "Coated paper (e.g. plastic, foil, glitter etc.) " is not recyclable; put that in the black wheelie bin.

How about cutting the front into squares or circles where you can and punching a hole and using them as tags for next xmas. Where is phillipa when you need her

We quarantine our post. We received some home made Christmas cards using the pictures cut out of leftover pieces of wrapping paper by very little hands this year. We ourselves haven't done the usual gift wrapped presents (but we've noticed in the past that Father Christmas always uses pre-used paper and one year he even used newspaper decorated with re-used ribbon - and when he used the Financial Times wrapped on the diagonal his ideas were particularly inspirational). With yesterday's announcement of School's Out there must be a lot of schoolchildren needing some projects apart from academic ones. Cutting out and around the best bits of cards is good dexterity practice for everyone! A good change from staring at a screen.Instead of writing on wrapping paper you can use ribbon or coloured string and labels.

I think the OP meant reusing rather than recycling - some supermarkets used to collect them and they were used by children and adult craft classes. A very worth-while way of using these cards.
