Missing Wise Man from St Michaels & All Angels Outdoor Nativity Scene

Does anyone know what's happened to the 3rd wise man from the outside nativity scene by St Michaels & All Angels church on the corner of Bath Road/Turnham Green terrace?  He was there last week, but for the last couple of days he's gone missing.  Wondering if he's been removed for some legitimate reason, or if he's been stolen.  Really hoping not the latter.

How dreadful. Hopefully not a racist move. Which King  was stolen?

Kidnapped by the Garden Gnome Liberation Front.

There may be a bigger problemThis year a premature baby was in the crib from early December. In the past the crib was empty till the 25th

Have any new stars appeared that he might have decided to follow? The Three Wise Men, of course, are spoilt for choice nowadays with so many starry satellites passing over hither and thither such that this is causing doubt within their 'wise divining community'. Potentially thousands of messiahs could be out there.

"Hopefully not a racist move." I don't follow? You mean because the wise men were Arabic?

Did anyone catch them chatting?  Was it a conspiracy?

""Hopefully not a racist move." I don't follow?"Traditionally the Wiseman called Caspar is portrayed as an Indian or African prince.

There is historical debate as to whether or not the wisemen were Zoroastrian priests from Iran. The term 'Magi' is the Zoroastrian word for priest. Zoroastrianism originated in greater Iran and migrated to India. Zoroastrianism was popular in both places around the time of Jesus, if I am not mistaken. Matthew 2 indicates that the wisemen did not visit Jesus at his birth. They came a couple years later where a pretty terrible event happened soon after they left.

It's obvious really, he has skipped off to replace Dominic Cummings and is holed up in Downing Street and is now running the country!

Bernadette Paul ● 2120d

Well, even one wise man would be a start.
